Born in Mexico, a country vibrant with culture and history, Pablo's fascination with color began with the bougainvillea trees and plants. The streets in his neighborhood were filled with splashes of magenta, pink, and purple. Houses were painted in cobalt blues, canary yellows, grass greens and other radiant tones. Pablo was inherently influenced by his rainbow world of hues, which inevitably led to my exploration of color theory.
Color Theory is an abstract series where the blending, layering and positioning of color and shape create a culmination of unique pigments, shades, tints and tones. Each piece is linked to a memory of Pablo's childhood; memories of oranges, strawberry piñatas, and stained glass church windows.
