Juan Baraja (Toledo, 1984) works with the relationships that emerge between architecture and the management of space via photography. Residencies, commissions and his own projects organise an oeuvre in which Baraja uses his camera to travel around different points in European geography, all of them different yet with a common thread joining them: they are spaces forgotten by time. In the opinion of Alfredo Puente, member of the FCAYC curatorial Area, Baraja "revives a way of situating oneself before something to imagine it via fragments, with another composition, far from the parameters that make something complete rational and apprehensible".
