It's an interesting exercise to present floral photography in black and white.
Frequently our gaze is held by the vibrant colors offered to us by nature. Without the distraction of color, however, comes the opportunity to have our attention drawn to the equally wonderful, but often neglected, alternative aspects of the flower, such as shape, texture and detail. As a result, a black and white image can create a more challenging and engaging visual.
