Nicole holds degrees from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and San Francisco State University's graduate art department. After years of creating photographs for advertising and editorial clients, she returned to her own artistic pursuits. Currently based in Los Angeles, Nicole's focus has shifted to exploring new flora, environments, and experiences. Her work aims to evoke a sensory, nonlinear response in viewers, tapping into memory, scale, and the physical world to ignite intuitive connections.
Nicole's art has been featured in gallery shows across the United States, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Santa Fe, Sonoma, Healdsburg, San Diego, and Atlanta. Notably, a joint exhibition at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art titled "Akin: the Art of Nicole and Marc Katano" has broadened the scope of her artistic dialogue.
